Dave S Kilmer - Head Coach / Executive Director

Dave Kilmer leads our program. Dave began his competitive swimming career in San Diego, swam his high school years with the Mission Viejo Nadadores, and returned to San Diego to compete at SDSU. His coaching career began when SDSU cut their swim team in 1984. He has been a leading coach in San Diego since that time.

Nicole K Helmen - Age Group Coach

Coach Nicole began her swimming career in 1980.  She swam for Burnsville Swim Club, Burnsville Sr. High School, and Saint Olaf College.  She began Coaching in 1995.  In Minnesota, her coaching experience included being a Novice Coach, an assistant age group coach, a head age group coach, an assistant head coach, an interim Head Coach, and a Head High School Swim Coach.  In 1999 and 2001 she was voted Minnesota Conference Swim Coach of the Year. Since 2004 she has been an age group coach for College Area Swim Team, and in 2007 she was voted San Diego-Imperial Age Group Coach of the Year.   Nicole is also in the United States Navy. 

Catherine G Gordon - Age Group Coach

Coach Catherine began her swim career at the age of 5. She swam for Unlimited Swimming, College Area Swim Team, and Santana High School. She started teaching swim lesson in 1999 under the Swim America Program. Coach Catherine started her coaching career in 2005 with College Area Swim Team as an age group coach. She began coaching novice level swimmers, moved to coaching Jr. Group swimmers and is now coaching Level 2. In addition, she also started coaching for Santana High School in 2006 as the Jr. Varsity coach. In 2009, she earned her BA in Applied Arts and Sciences in the area of Liberal Studies from San Diego State University. She is now working towards completing SDSU's teaching credential program.
