CAST Parent Volunteers are an integral part of our swim team and help to create the success our swimmers enjoy. There are many opportunities to volunteer for the team. Some of the positions require an annual commitment and others are event driven including meets we host (several during the balance of the year and four small novice events during the summer), fundraisers and other swim team functions. Each adult in any family should sign up for only ONE annual position (exceptions will be made on a case by case basis and require advance authorization from the board). We want every family to have the opportunity to volunteer in support of their swimmer(s).

Every family is expected to volunteer a minimum of 16 volunteer hours each year. With a few exceptions, credits are awarded based on hours worked. Timing is currently awarded at 1 credit for every 2 hours of timing.

You are responsible for turning in a credit slip each time you complete a job, or a portion of a job. If you don’t turn in your hours and you get charged unworked volunteer hours at the end of the year, that charge will not be waived.
